Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) Teammates gathered recently at the Red Rock Casino and Resort in Las Vegas for their 2016 Annual Leadership Meeting.   SCA company values are not just slogans or words on the wall, but are truly at the core of everything they do and who they are.  ALM provides SCA teammates an opportunity to gather together, spend time learning, sharing, growing and honoring those who are an outstanding example of the company values.

TRG formed 3 years ago with Jay and Tracy Hawkins.  At the beginning, Jay and Tracy knew that success would depend on relationships and working with great people.  TRG asked, good friend, colleague and one of the best producers we know, Amy Darbyshire, to join us.  Thankfully, Amy decided to take a leap of faith and join us at TRG.

Giving back and serving others is an important core value for our client, Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA). SCA has long incorporated community service programs into their Annual Leadership Meeting and encourages their teammates to participate in service programs in their communities.

Parkinson’s disease is painful, debilitating disease with no known cure.  Parkinson’s disease brings to mind the muscle tremors, shaking hands and arms, but there is more than that.  Parkinson’s disease is a motor systems disorder which is the result of a loss of dopamine producing brain cells.  There are four primary symptoms of Parkinson’s disease including, trembling hands, arms, legs, jaw and face; rigidity of limbs; slowness of movement and impaired balance.  Parkinson’s is difficult to diagnose, symptoms can begin slowly and take years to develop.  Patients often suffer with Parkinson’s for many years as the disease progresses.

SCA ALM 2014 at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, TN was an amazing event with a full schedule.  SCA teammates arrived on a Thursday to check-in, gather together and kick-off the event.  Everyone assembled Thursday afternoon for the first general session.  The first night wrapped up with a casual networking event.

So you have 300 attendees to fit into your general session room.  The hotel information says the ballroom capacity is 400.  Great!  Actually, there is much more to it than that.

No one really likes to think about large natural disasters or crises, but when you are in the meetings business it is never really far from mind.  Bringing together large groups of people involves a lot of planning and one piece of that process includes being prepared to managing crises.
