TRG was honored to partner with our newest client, the Center for Autism and Related Disorders
(CARD), for their Virtual Leadership Meeting (VLM). When CARD decided that it was too soon to have
750 of their employees (CARDians!) travel to Dallas for an in-person Annual Leadership Meeting, TRG
was chosen as their production partner to create a unique virtual event.
The CARD executive leadership team was onsite at the venue and presented their sessions to the live
stream. Several presenters were unable to travel, so they connected to the meeting through the TRG
virtual studio. Except for the backgrounds, sessions with a virtual presenter and an in-studio
presentation were seamless to the viewer. The presenters were able to talk to each other as if they
were in the same room together.
The VLM consisted of three concurrent zoom sessions that were all receiving the same General Session
feed. This enabled CARD to breakout the groups of 250 into 50 smaller groups of five to eight
participants for interactive discussions. CARD kept the interaction going with everyone
participating in polling activities, including word clouds and surveys.
CARD, which was founded in 1990, used their 2021 VLM as an opportunity to unveil a refreshed mission
statement and values. Since the event was virtual, TRG recreated what would have been a banner
reveal as if we were all together in a large ballroom.
CARD concluded their VLM with a Town Hall and Awards Ceremony. Questions were collected by a Town
Hall email that was set up before the program. The email will remain in place so that CARD will use
the same process for future events.
The awards ceremony recognized several CARDians for their impact over the past year. The winners
didn’t know they received the award and could share their surprise and heartfelt gratitude when they
were spotlighted live on their Zoom session for all participants to see. The chats were filled with
congratulations from their peers for these special awards.
TRG was proud to present this virtual experience with many elements that made it almost like a live
event experience. We’re looking forward to having everyone together with CARD in April 2022!
